You don't even know how lucky you have it. All the opportunities in the world and you're casting Sphinx's Revelation over and over for six months.

The Japan Metagame Diaries: Picking up the Pieces On June 2nd and June 3rd, Over 600 players descended on Nagoya, Japan for the final World Magic Cup Qualifier and a Pro Tour Theros Qualifier. Among them were many legends and professionals: Shuhei Nakamura, Katsuhiro Mori, Saito, and Sunao Nakai (team member from Japan's 2012 Magic Cup team) to name a few. It was kind of intimidating and also thrilling to be in such close vicinity to such great players.

Feels Like The Very First Time Not being able to stand the sound of my alarm clock, I threw it to the floor. Wait a minute! The PTQ is today! I quickly dived into the floor and scavenged up my alarm clock. It read 10:09 A.M. The PTQ ended registration at 10:30. There was not a moment to lose (not that I am qualified to determine when one moment ends and another begins). I had 21 minutes to arrive and register at the JW Marriot in downtown Indianapolis. Although I had previously sleeved my deck the night before, I still had to find my bike lock, wallet and double-check the sideboard.

This WPN Premium event will be standard format at 3x Planeswalker Points, the prize pool will be $5000 in cash and it will be limited to 32 players.

Going Mad - Modern Masters Modern Masters is an unprecedented set. It's the first time an entire (paper) set has been dedicated to reprints solely to support a format. Sure, we had Chronicles back in the mid 1990's, a set that ranks right up there with Homelands and Fallen Empires on Wizards' all time colossal failure list. While we bought Chronicles in droves, we literally would and did buy any pack of Magic the Gathering available.

Going Mad - a PTQ Battle Report If I wanted to be stared at, I would have gone to a fancy hotel wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a backpack ... oh right. But when your only complaint regarding the venue is: "there are rich people staring at me" then I guess you can't complain too much. The hotel even provided free candy. FREE CANDY!
